Over the years, the HSR team has felt honored to support the development of winter sports and alternative sports in general. We have been involved in numerous events over time, and we will certainly continue to add more to our list of achievements. 2026
On March 28–29, we had the incredible pleasure of joining the Battle on Snow community. To celebrate the spirit of the event, we were thrilled to offer 2x half-day heliski packages, giving riders a chance to experience the mountains from a whole new perspective.
Spectacular operation at the Vidraru Dam: tens of tons moved by helicopter: Recently, our helicopter was contracted for a HESLO (Helicopter External Sling Load Operation) at the Vidraru Dam.
2025
The “Legends of Gugu” camp, August 24-29. A high-alpine, heli-accessed eMTB retreat, hosted by weRIDE Romania, coached by MTB legend Richard Gasperotti, and conceived of for riders looking for more than just a ride, because the Legends of Gugu camp isn’t about riding bikes, it’s about living them.
On March 28–30, we joined Battle on Snow, where we offered half-day heliski packages to all category winners. At HSR, we're passionate about pushing snow sports forward — especially when it comes to freeride and freestyle, two scenes we truly love. Big shoutout to our brand ambassador, Kinda Geza and his amazing team!
On March 27, we were present in Bucharest at the "România ești TU" Gala – Îngeri pentru România Edition, where we were honored to receive an award. We are grateful for this recognition and proud to be part of such a meaningful event!
2024
Last weekend, the event ‘PIEPS - Safety Procedures Training’ gathered an amazing community of people at Muntele Mic – this unique event was all about enhancing avalanche safety awareness.
On December 1st, Romania’s National Day, we are proud and excited to share a special achievement: Heliski Romania has been awarded the Diploma of Excellence for its outstanding contribution to promoting and developing Romanian tourism.
Andrei was the lucky winner of our ‘HSR & WEGO - 365 ON BOARD’ giveaway from last winter season, earning a ‘1 Day Heliski Trip’, and he chose the ‘Spring Ride in Făgăraș’ experience. We recently caught up with him to hear all about his adventure, and he’s excited to share his story with all of you:

Building the Mondraker community brought Richard Gasperotti to the Romanian resort of Muntele Mic, where he met Romeo and Cristian Dunca, the operators of Romania's unique heli-biking experience. Read about their joint adventure in the wilderness, proving that mountain biking has no boundaries. .
Loek Quaedflieg is a professional mountain bike (MTB) rider known for his exceptional technical prowess and competitive spirit. Hailing from the Netherlands, Loek has made a name for himself in the MTB community through his victories in various national and international competitions. On July 20 he experienced heli-biking in the Tarcu Mountains, and we had the pleasure of interviewing him – find the full interview HERE.
Richard Gasperotti, a legendary figure in the mountain biking world, joined us on June 21-23 for an unforgettable ride – Heli-biking in the Tarcu Mountains. Gasperotti, known as “Gaspi”, made history as the first European to participate in the renowned Red Bull Rampage MTB freeride competition back in 2002. March 22-24 marked our third consecutive year of sponsorship at the ‘Battle on Snow’ event in Madaras, Harghita. As you know, we're proud about supporting snow sports, and the freestyle scene holds a special place in our hearts. This year we offered 4x ½ Heliski Package. Congratulations to the organizers and all the winners!
On January 21, we offered the winning children from the “MiniCupa României la Ski 2024”, 9 Helicat Experiences! After the awards ceremony, we flew to Nedeia, where the children were able to ski and enjoy a completely different experience.
2023
On September 28, HSR provided a Scenic Flight experience as part of the "Gala din inimă pentru viitor" event. The proceeds from the auction of this experience were dedicated to facilitating access to medical services and treatments for underprivileged individuals.
On July 21-23, we had the absolute pleasure of being part of the adrenaline-fueled spectacle known as the Balkan Downhill Championship in the stunning Poiana Brașov Resort! Our passion for action sports runs deep, and we're committed to championing them in every way possible. At this electrifying event, we added to the excitement by giving away 1x 1 Day Heliski/Helibike Package.
On March 26th, the best U12 skiers in Romania - winners of the National Championship Final of the Mini Cup of Romania in Ski 2023, enjoyed a Helicat session on Nedeia, offered by Mr. Romeo Dunca.
On March 24-26th, we had an incredible time at the Battle on Snow event in Madaras, Harghita! On February 12-16th, the Heliski Trip in the Făgăraș Mountains was a special one, because the "Safety Course" was made by none other than Bogdan Csillag. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Bogdan is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine in Sibiu, and he obtained his specialization in Târgu-Mureș and Brussels. He started his career as a SMURD volunteer and now he has over 20 years of experience as a doctor. Currently, Bogdan is the new head of UPU Sibiu.
On February 12th, we were present at the “Jibassic Ark - Rail Jam Hangman Session” organized by Ride Tribe Romania in the weSKI Snow Park at Muntele Mic. The event brought together participants from all over, showcasing their skills and tricks on the rails.
On February 11th, we found ourselves right at home, in the heart of the breathtaking Muntele Mic resort, as we marked a milestone – weSKI's 4th Anniversary! It was nothing short of spectacular. As we reflect on this incredible journey, we can't help but look ahead with anticipation and excitement. The 5th anniversary is on the horizon, and we can hardly wait to be a part of yet another epic celebration! Stay tuned for more adventure, more laughter, and more unforgettable memories as weSKI continues to redefine the winter sports experience.
2022
On November 12th, we attended an amazing event organized by Ride Tribe Romania. We were thrilled that someone had taken the initiative to bring together a portion of the action sports community. During this event, we offered: 4 x Half Day Heliski Package, 6 x Weekend Skipass at weSKI.
In October, we donated some money to Stefan Popa, a talented snowboarder who had embarked on a journey in wakeboarding, displaying remarkable progress. The Romanian Wakeboard Federation team had expressed their intention to take him to the World Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate Championship in Thailand by the end of that month, and, as many of you already know, there was a shortage of funds for promoting this sport in our country. He required 2500 Euros to cover the expenses for his trip to Thailand and participation in the championship. A small donation makes a big difference. Always!
On September 17-18th, we were proud to be a part of Urbaniada in Brașov & it was great! We strive to support the local community and help its growth each year. Even if this niche is just getting started in our country, we believe in its unlimited potential.
On July 26-30th, we had the pleasure to provide the safety assistance for the 19th edition of Red Bull Romaniacs — The World’s Toughest Hard Enduro Rally. Congratulations to the organizers and all the people involved in this crazy project that brings thousands of tourists to our beautiful country.
On June 9-11, we had the great pleasure of participating at the "Carpathian Mountain Fair", in Cheile Grădiștei - the only fair for mountain resorts in Eastern Europe. The event was organized by the Romanian Association of Cable Carriers, which provided an ideal setting for equipment manufacturers and their beneficiaries to meet and find the best solutions to increase the attractiveness of the mountain resorts.
On March 25-27th, we went to Battle on Snow and we’re offering half-day heliski packages for all the winners from every category. HSR always supports the continued development of snow sports and when it comes to freeride, the freestyle scene is one of our favorites. We extend our congratulations to our brand ambassador Kinda Geza and his team for their outstanding organization of the event, and we applaud the remarkable dedication shown by all the participants.
On March 26th – The “People with disabilities want to ski too” project carried out by “Asociația Caiac SMile” was a truly inspiring initiative. The project aimed to enable people with disabilities to experience the thrill of freeriding and to change the notion that certain activities are only meant for able-bodied individuals.
Through their actions, they demonstrated to Romania and the world that anything is possible with the right mindset and a strong will. We are honored to have been part of this incredible project and to have witnessed firsthand the courage and determination of these individuals.
This project is a shining example of what can be achieved when we work together to create a world where everyone has equal opportunities to pursue their passions and dreams.
2021
On October 2nd, we attended the Chainless Run Mărișel event. Two of our friends – Razvan (our master videographer/photographer) and Caius Rișcuța (his brother), participated in the Masters category (30+ years old). Razvan secured the 2nd place, while Caius finished in the Top 10.
On September 24-25th, we participated at the National Downhill Championship, organized at Cheile Grădiștei. Here, we offered 1x Helibike Experience.
In February, we were honored and delighted to host one of the best music sets of the year by TIME:CODE at Muntele Mic resort. The DJ was so inspired by our location that he named one of his songs "Țarcu" after the peak where we go heli-skiing in the winter.

Yes. We will try to coordinate so you fit in a group that will match your level.
Professional video-guides are available on request to ski with your group and capture the day’s adventures on digital video. Enquire about this service at our counter when booking or confirming your day’s heli-skiing.
The best snow in our mountains you can find between the middle of January until mid March.
Half of the payment needs to be paid via bank transfer as soon as possible in order to guarantee your reservation. Your reservation will only be fully confirmed once the payment has been made.
The other half needs to be paid in cash at our mountain chalet before or after our program.
The cars are parked in a safe location in Muntele Mic parking lot and easily accessible on skis or skidoo from your accommodation.
Extra meters we calculate with 17 eur/pers/100 m vertical drop.
You will receive the money back except the amount you paid for accommodation, food, helicopter reservation, your mountain guide. We are refunding 15 Eur/pers/100 m of vertical drop that we do not accomplish. For example on the package that guarantees 5000m in vertical drop, in case of not flying 2000m out of them then we will refund you 300eur.
The groups must have a basic mountain experience and a moderate physical condition in order to be able to maintain a relatively short waiting time.
We access a wide range of terrain and runs and depending on the snow safety and conditions we ride different runs and both vertical and length an average of 500m vertical/ run can be taken into consideration.

We visited Muntele Mic last week and had an amazing experience! Cristi, our host, was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Our guide, Catri, was fantastic—leading us to some incredible terrain and giving us the freedom to choose our routes.
We had a one-day heli-skiing experience, which was super cool, along with two days of skiing in the resort. The resort itself is small and simple, nothing like the big Alpine destinations, but it has a great family-friendly atmosphere and, best of all, no crowds! While snow conditions weren’t perfect, we still found some great and untouched powder lines.
The experience was well worth the money, and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year! ⛷️❄️🚁
